How the west was lost

With a Benedictine twist, 'How the west was lost' will look at how to win it back again . If you have blundered upon this blog you are warned my comments may be ill informed, not particularly insightful, a rant or indeed all three.

Your blog looks like it will be very good but the black background is not very easy on the eye!

God bless you and the new blog! Padre Steve, SDB

Sounds good to me. Intense white on black is VERY good as it's a high contrast. The people that drive one crazy are the ones with light text on white!

Good luck and welcome to blogdom. Fr. Tim, gave you a plug

I'm curious about your non existent profile - any reason for that? I linked from the plug on Fr Tim's blog so am trusting that he knows you and reckons this blog will be worth watching. I like your start - good luck:)

gemoftheocean I don't know what monitor you're using but I'm using a modern flat screen and my vision goes funny after more than a few minutes of looking at a black background and I have very good eyesight.

The colour scheme is a first attempt. If I had held off until I was completely happy with it I probably would still be tinkering with it this time next year.

Thank you for your kind words

xcube,

Fr Tim does not know me, though I'm sure he knows a priest very well that I know...

As for non-existant profile, I work for the Church though they don't directly pay my salary, if that's not too cryptic. Attracting attention by voicing orthodox views means anonimity might be a good thing!

I'm sure someone will put together the pieces within a month or so anyway!
